SmoothStripes is a ShapeShifter theme that improves Aquas appearance by refining parts of the GUI. These are the changes over regular Aqua:
Removes stripes.
Metal style from iTunes 6 applied system wide.
Improves Titlebar buttons.
Option to make titlebar buttons Blue.
Improves scrollbars to a more crisp Aqua style.
Improves progressbars to a more crisp Aqua style.
Improves small and large Round Buttons to a more crisp Aqua style.
Improves bevel buttons to a more crisp Aqua style.
Improves Small Push buttons (like in the Finder copy dialog) to a more crisp Aqua style.
An alternative to using ShapeShifter is downloading this installer package version of the theme:

- Compatible with 10.4.5 and iTunes 6.0.4.
- Moves the small round button down one pixel to better align with glyphs being overlayed on it (check Mail.apps Smart Mailbox dialog for a good example).
